- 1975 - the runolfson's decided to transform their home into a restaurant
- 2010 - La caille was sold to kevin gates, our current owner
La Caille was originally established in 1965 by Steven and Lisa Runolfson, who envisioned a serene escape from everyday life. Initially a private estate, it became a cherished sanctuary where elegance met tranquility.
In 1975, the Runolfsons transformed the property into a restaurant, sharing their vision with the public and creating a place where reality slows down and timeless moments unfold. Under their stewardship, La Caille became known for its refined atmosphere, impeccable hospitality, and an experience that felt removed from the ordinary.
In 2010, ownership passed to Kevin Gates, who continued to honor La Caille’s legacy, maintaining the balance of sophistication and warmth that has allowed it to stand as a timeless destination for memorable gatherings and unforgettable dining experiences.
